Brijuni
The beautiful Brijuni islands consist of 14 minor islands along with 7, 3 km2. They were known as a National park in 1983. The biggest one is called “the Big Brijuni”; the next one is called “the smaller Brijuni” with acreage of 1 km2. The distance to land from the Fazana canal above has a average depth of 12m.

Once upon a time the there was a great part of the land soil that was red. They were known then as the Red Brijuni. The comfortable climate has contributed to the flora. Reindeer and muflones walk freely on the island. In 1978 they opened a safari park along with antelopes, gazelles, camels and elephants.

The culture monuments are found on the Big Brijuni. From 2 years B.C. when the Histrians lived there, two buildings were discovered. Discoveries which date back to 177 B.C. indicate that Romans lived there. From the Bizantic era, in the Dobrika gulf a castle called Kastrum. In the XII centuries a squared castle from 1331. Brijuni is positioned “under” Venice. A church called St.German from 1481, and St.Rok from 1504 was found there too. In 1860 Austria built a lot of good many buildings. Brijuni became a sophisticated place for the elite.

Arena - Pula
Arena is the name of the amphitheatre located in Pula, Croatia. The Arena is the only remaining Roman amphitheater to have four side towers and with all three Roman architectural orders entirely preserved. It is the sixth largest surviving Roman arena and a rare example, among the 200 Roman surviving amphitheatres, of unique technological solutions. It is also the best preserved ancient monument in Croatia.

Arena was built in the 1st century CE, as the city of Pula became a regional center of Roman rule, called Pietas Julia. Venice

Venecija
Venecija
Venice is a city in northern Italy, the capital of region Veneto, and has a population of 271,251 (census estimate January 1, 2004). Together with Padua, the city is included in the Padua-Venice Metropolitan Area (population 1,600,000). Venice has been known as the "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Bridges", and "The City of Light".

The city stretches across 110 small islands in the marshy Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy. The saltwater lagoon stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po (south) and the Piave (north) Rivers. The population estimate of 272,000 inhabitants includes the population of the whole Comune of Venetia; around 62,000 in the historic city of Venice (Centro storico); 176,000 in Terraferma (the Mainland), mostly in the large frazione of Mestre and Marghera; and 31,000 live on other islands in the lagoon.
The Venetian Republic was a major maritime power and a staging area for the Fourth Crusade, as well as a very important center of commerce (especially silk, grain and spice trade) and art in the Renaissance and up to the end of the 17th century.

While there are no historical records that deal directly with the origins of Venice, the available evidence has led several historians to agree that the original population of Venice comprised refugees from Roman cities such as Padua, Aquileia, Altino and Concordia (modern Portogruaro) who were fleeing successive waves of Germanic invasions.

Baredine

Baredine
A great part of the Istrian peninsula contains carbonated rocks from which many caves were made. In the western part of Istria the carboated rock have mainly been flated out and covered with red earth - "tera rossa". It was right here at this exact place near Porec, near Nova Vas that Jama Baredine was made, one of the most attractive caves from istria.

Baredine
Some of the discoveries found in the caves show us that people from very early times, have been entering the caves. From 1973, the caves have been explored by the spelelogy group "Proteus" and they have been exploring the undergroud lake. Because of their move, the Baredine caves have been - because of their unique and rich beauty - announced a national park in 1986. During the 1990's, the real work with the cave began, and it was open for visits from May 1995. Meet the mystical wonder nature has created using thousands of years, far away from day light and the human eye... Meet the underground world of JAMA BAREDINE. This cave is covered with stalagmites and stalactites, undreground miracles created by water. They form up to 10 meters long "curtains", a very realistic sculpture of Our Lady, the body of a milkmaid called Milka, the leaning tower of Pizza and snowman the torchbearer - who has become the trade mark of our cave. In one of the so-called halls, you will pass through a gigatic hole, 4 metres wide and 66 metres deep, which leads you to the underground lake. Through these five so-called halls, these five galleries filled with abstract and realistic sculptures, in a 40-minute long trip accompained with a guide, you will meet the underground animal life: you will see the human fish, that only lives under these spesific sircumstances, along with tiny shrimps and insects. At the main entrance, shelves belonging to a museum have been placed, showing the tourists prehistorical rests of jars.
